If you can read, thank a teacher. If you read English, thank a veteran!

Today is an important date as we observe the 90th anniversary of Armistice Day when at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 hostilities were ended and thus, the First World War.

In the United States, Armistice Day has given way to Veteran's Day where we honor the sacrifice and contribution of the men and women who served in our armed forces. It has been said that veterans wrote a check upon entering service made payable to the United States of America for the amount of up to and including their life.

As you go through this day, take a moment at 11:00 a.m. to remember the sacrifices made by those in uniform so that we could live free!
